Dhammu Movie Review
Young Tiger NTR’s latest mass masala entertainer ‘Dammu’ is all set to hit the marquee on April 27th. Expectations are riding high as NTR is doing a mass movie after long long time. The movie is being directed Boyapati Srinu who delivered a super hit in the form of Simha in 2010. The movie is carrying tremendous positive pre- release buzz. Efforts are on to release the movie in record number of theaters.
Movie Character Names Trisha as aswini and Abhinaya is acting as jr ntr Sister in the movie.
Story: ‘I waited for 10 years to make a movie with NTR’, these are the words  of producer Ks Rama Rao. ‘ I rejected 10 scripts from Boyapati before signing ‘Dammu”,  NTR revealed during the audio function. Director Boyapati promised it would become a industry biggest hit. Let’s see how the movie is fared in real.
Movie starts with the rivalry between Suman ( Vasi Reddy) family and Nasser family. Both families indulge in killing others for the supremacy in the village. In the process, everyone in Vasi Reddy family dies making Nasser uncontested villain of the village for the next twenty five years.
Twenty five years passes, Veera Durgam (Kota) adopts Rama Chandra (NTR) an orphan in the city and introduces him to the family and villagers as Vijaya Dwaja Simha , a heir to Vasireddy family. Now it is turn of Vijaya Dwaja Simha to live up to the expectations of family members and villagers.
Rest of the story is how Vijaya Dwaja Simha wins the heart of the people and stops the killings in the village.
Performance: NTR is terrific as Rama Chandra and Vijaya Dwaja Simha. The script demands a one man show and NTR fully justifies it.  He is at his usual best when it comes to dialogue delivery or giving expressions. He carried the heavy weight role with ease.  The dialogue about his political aspiration will please his fans.
Trisha looked older to NTR  while Karthika oozed extra oomph. Both are limited to couple of scenes and songs.
Nasser acted well in villain role. Kota is usual in grandfather role.  Suman and Bhanu Priya acted well in couple of scenes. Venu acted in brother in law role. Ali and Brahmanandam failed to tickle the audience rib bones.
Ahuti Prasad, Vijay Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Ranganath will just a add to the cast list.
Technical:  Boyapati chose a tried and tested story to elevate the image of NTR. The screenplay runs on predictable note. Boyapati Seenu gave mass treatment to a rather simple story. There are enough mass elements to satisfy NTR fans. He is able show the two different shades of NTR very well. His direction is good in high voltage drama scenes.
Keeravani music is good. Background score should have been better in action sequences. Re-recording is good. O Lilly, Vasthu babgundi with four heroines are visually good while Ruler song disappoints. Choreography is good.
Ram Laxman composed high energetic action sequences. Unfortunately, bloodshed is high. Cinematography by Arthur Wilson is topnotch. M.Ratnam dialogues are powerful and suited very well for the stature of NTR.
Analysis:  Boyapati tried to give a message about value of the life in the climax.
Boyapati should be commended for the way he elevated NTR. The mass elements in the movie will be a feast to NTR fans and for those who like high voltage drama.
Finally, the movie success depends on how mass audience receives the movie. Its all the way only NTR ‘Dammu’.

Lovely (2012) Telugu Movie Online

A scene from Lovely
Lovely is a decent entertainer with all the commercial staples, writes Radhika Rajamani.
Director Jaya B's Telugu film Lovely doesn't have an A-list star cast but is a decent entertainer with all the commercial staples -- action, songs, romance and foreign locales. The film stars Aadi, who is one film old, and debutante Shanvi.

Maybe because she's a woman, the director has kept vulgarity and double entendres out. There are no comedians as such, but there is humour in the script.

Lavanya or Lovely (Shanvi) is the daughter of Mangalampalli Maharadhi (Dr Rajendra Prasad) and the apple of his eye.

Lovely's friend Lalli (Chinmayi Ghatrazu) falls for Kittu (Vennela Kishore) online through chatting. But, when the time comes for them to meet, each sends a friend, Akash (Aadi) and Lovely. The two meet and over time they fall in love.

Akash seems to be living off money he makes from fooling Bunk Babu (Ahuti Prasad). When Lovely tells her father about Akash, he disapproves, and begins to follow them around. Lovely is unaware of this but Akash knows. Is papa finally convinced that Akash  is the right son-in-law?

The story is quite straightforward and not novel. Agreed, the father is worried about his daughter, but the lengths he goes to, particularly in the second half towards the climax, is absurd.

The first half of the film is breezy but the second half is overloaded with sentiment and emotion. The track with Lali and Kittu enlivens proceedings a bit.

Given the nature of the film, the action bits seem forced; they seem to be there only to showcase the hero's skills.
Anup Reubens's music is in sync with the film. Some of the songs are good. The choreography, too, particularly of the songs shot in Turkey, is well done. Other technical aspects too are satisfactory.

Aadi is very earnest in his portrayal. He gets the opportunity to sing, fight, dance and act, which he does pretty well. Newcomer Shanvi looks pretty and makes an effort to act.

Chinmayi is natural and lively and adds vivacity. Kishore is in his element, while Dr Rajendra Prasad has brought out the different shades in the many characters he plays.

Jaya B has churned out a decent family entertainer.

Cast: Prince, Nanditha, Benarjee, Teertha, Venu, Thanikella Bharani, Parachuri Venkateswara Rao and others
Writer and Director: Teja
Rating: **
After a four-year career hiatus, director Teja returns to the big screen with 'Neeku Naaku Dash Dash' with an all new cast. However, unlike his previous films 'Jayam' and 'Nijam' that worked wonders at the box office, the new film fails to strike a chord with the audience.
Southern Friday: 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' and more
IBNLive
It seems Teja became too confident of his own abilities and started churning out films with the same formula that was rightfully panned by critics and rejected by audience.
While the title 'Neeku Naaku Dash Dash' raises a little bit of curiosity, but the film doesn't have anything fresh to offer. The novelty element is missing and Teja has just rehashed some of his own films with this new project that introduces many new faces.
After watching the film for the first thirty minutes, it becomes crystal clear that Teja has not learned anything in his four-year hiatus. Emotions apart, the film has same type of comedy sequences and the story stays where it had started from.
Only towards the interval does the film moves forward in narration. The first forty five minutes of second half is quite interesting, but disappoints towards the climax.
Shiva is working for mafia dealing in illegal liquor business. The empire is owned by Bapineedu and his heartless accomplice Chitti. Debt trap compels Shiva to work for the cruel Bapineedu. However, despite working in poor conditions, Shiva shows his humane qualities. He falls in love with Gayathri.
Shiva becomes a victim of circumstances and decides to flee with Gayathri. Lovers are chased by Bapineedu and Chitti Talli's hooligans. How Shiva and Gayathri face the challenges forms the rest of plot.
Like his previous films, Teja has tried to add lot of rawness and a little bit of boldness in the film. Teja's claims that he has made a different movie with an original story written by him doesn't seem to hold weight as the film will remind you of Tamil movie 'Angadi Theru' directed by Vasantha Balan.
Despite being a newcomer, lead actress Nanditha stands out with a mature performance. Prince, who plays Shiva has also managed to give a neat performance.
Sumanth Shetty's comedy sequences are good. Theertha's performance as Chitti Thalli is quite menacing. Veteran actors Parachuri Venkateshwar Rao, Thanikella Bharani and Benarjee have also done justice to their roles. Rasool Ellore's cinematography is very good. The background score is also nice. 'Neeku Naaku Dash Dash' is an ordinary presentation with a weak story and haphazard narration.

Friends Book Telugu Movie Online (2012)

Review : Friends Book – Disappointing thriller

Release date: 13 April 2012
123telugu.com Rating :2.5 /5
Director : R.P.Patnaik
Producer : Dr.Vijaya Kumar Malla
Music Director : R.P.Patnaik
Starring: Nishal, Uday, Surya and Archana Sharma
Veteran movie director R.P.Patnaik has come up with his second offering as a movie director with the film ‘Friends Book’. The movie has Nischal, Uday, Archana, Surya, Suresh and Nisha Shetty in lead roles. Welfare Creations group has produced the movie. Let us see how the movie is.
Story :
Nischal (Nischal), Akshay (Uday), Surya (Surya), Nithya (Archana) and Madhu (Archana Shetty) are a gang of childhood friends. The friends are employed in various walks of life, ranging from Software Engineer to Crime Lab operative. They are all very unhappy with their jobs and they share a common goal of setting up a profitable business. To achieve this, they quit and set about creating a software that identifies and removes fake accounts from the popular social networking site Facebook. They succeed in their design and submit a proposal to Facebook. Their proposal is accepted and just when everything seems to be going in their favour, a shocking twist happens.
What is that twist? Will they succeed in making money out of their venture? That forms the rest of the story.
Plus Points :
Surya, Nischal and Suresh have done a good job. Their performance is neat and they have done justice to their roles. Archana and Nisha Shetty are just about ok in terms of performance. Rao Ramesh steals the thunder with a good performance in a role that has negative shades.
The first half is breezy and the suspense angle is maintained right till the end of the film. Comedy is ok in a few places. Direction of R.P.Patnaik is good in the first half as the story is set up pretty neatly.
Minus Points:
The director has no clarity on the technical side of the story, so there are glaring mistakes. There are silly mistakes in the concept of a software identifying fake accounts and the way it goes about doing it. Another silly point – Can a dead person’s Athma come online and chat with friends on Facebook?
The second half of the film is very bad and there are glaring mistakes in screenplay. The ‘Nigeria comedy’ scenes have not come out well and they test the patience of the viewers. There is no clarity in the message the director wanted to convey and the story keeps meandering between a psychological thriller and a murder mystery.
Technical Aspects :
Background score is very good but R.P.Patnaik should have stayed away from singing the only song in the movie. His voice just does not suit the song at all. Editing is jerky and could have been better. Dialogues are ok and they hint at the importance of friends over parents (Sad).
Cinematography is poor and visuals are not exciting enough.
Verdict :
R.P.Patnaik triend to do too many things at once in this movie and he ends up doing a poor job with all of them. There is absolutely no logic in much of the film and you can safely stay away from this ‘thriller’. Spend time on your Facebook account instead.

3 Review – 3 Tamil Movie Review, Rating, 3 Telugu Film Review: Kolaveri Di fame 3 Movie is out in theaters now. This film has created a huge sensation across the globe due to Kolaveri song. Naturally, the movie had taken a wonderful start at the ticket windows. Here is the detailed review…
Listen Review:

Story:

This is story of Ram (Dhanush) and Janani (Shruti Haasan), who fall in love at very young age and decide to marry after their graduation. Unexpected events happen and Ram dies. Rest of the story is about the reasons for his death.

Analysis:

As every Tamil film that is releasing in Telugu these days, 3 too is a film with dark shades. This film starts on a colorful note and turns dark and gets darker as the movie progresses. It will be hard to digest the film as it is extremely depressing.

Audiences started walking out of the theaters just few minutes after the second half has started. Aishwarya tried to explore the darker side of life and audiences are not expecting such darkness from this ‘Kolaveri’ film.

Maybe you may find 3 alright if you are prepared to watch a dark film. However, the snail paced second half doesn’t allow the audience to sit through it.

Performances:

Dhanush came up with extraordinary show yet again. He has lived the character which required him to show various shades of life. He simply excelled in his role. He can expect more awards out of this. Shruti Haasan fails as an actress. She is pathetic in sorrowful scenes. She has gone over the board many a time and it would be hard to bear her ‘performance’. She is definitely not a Kamal in acting. Rohini, Bhanu Priya and others did well.

Technicalities:

Techincally the movie is very good. Aishwarya had a very talented crew at her hands and they have done excellent job behind the screen. Anirudh’s music is pretty impressive. Kolaveri failed to reach the expectations on screen. Background score is good. Cinematography is another asset to the movie. Art department deserves a pat. Production values are nice.

Aishwarya excelled as a director in dealing with the teenage love. She should have stuck to a colorful love subject rather falling into the trap of Tamil dark movies. She failed to bring the right emotions in the latter half of the movie. Saying so, Aishwarya do have few qualities to become a good director, but she needs some fine tuning.

Final Word:

3 will appeal to offbeat movie lovers. Extreme darker tones doesn’t appeal to entertainment seeking Telugu audience.

3 Movie Rating: 2/5

Review : Naa Ishtam – A confused love story

Release date: 23 Mar 2012
123telugu.com Rating : 2.5/5
Director : Prakash Toleti
Producer : Paruchuri Kireeti
Music Director : Chakri
Starring: Rana Daggubati, Genelia Dsouza
Rana Daggubati has come before Telugu movie lovers on Ugadi with the romantic entertainer ‘Naa Ishtam’. The movie has Genelia as the heroine and Prakash Tholeti is the director. Paruchuri Kireeti has produced the movie and Chakri has scored the music. Let us see how the film is.
Story :
Gani (Rana) is a Telugu youth who lives and works in Malaysia and he is an extremely selfish person. He always thinks about himself and his benefits first. Into his routine life comes Krishnaveni (Genelia) unexpectedly and everything gets disturbed. Krishnaveni loves Kishore (Harshavardhan Rane) and she elopes from home as her dad Naidu (Nasser) does not approve of her choice. But Kishore doesn’t turn up and she feels cheated. Gani’s selfish nature gets him to lie to Krishnaveni and he takes her home to Naidu in the hope of making some money.
But Gani realises his mistake once he sees Naidu and family and he gets Krishnaveni back to Malaysia. As a cheated Krishnaveni begins rebuilding her life with Gani’s support, love blossoms between the two. Into this situation walks in Kishore and he is desperate to win back Krishnaveni’s love. Meanwhile, Naidu is furious about the whole episode and he engages the services of Malaysia Don Salim Bhai (Shawar Ali) to trap Gani. Gani uses all his guile to thwart Salim Bhai and throw Kishore off the track, but is he successful? Who will Krishnaveni accept in the end? That forms the story.
Plus Points :
Rana looks good and he has tried out some new mannerisms and dances in this film. His dances in the title track are good and his tall frame is an asset in fight sequences. His dialogue delivery in the East Godavari slang works out well. He tries his best to shoulder the film. He appears a little stiff in emotional scenes and he should work out on that aspect.
Genelia looks good but she does not have much to do in the film. Still, when it comes to conveying emotions through her eyes, Genelia is an expert. Harshavardhan Rane is ok in the role of Kishore. It was good to see the Jogi brothers onscreen and they entertain in their brief role. Ali is ok.
There are some light hearted moments in the film and the first half is pretty fast paced. Some of the romantic scenes between Rana and Genelia have come out well, especially the scene where Rana appears in a Robin Hood hat to propose to Genelia.
Minus Points :
Prakash Tholeti’s direction is a big minus. There is no conviction or clarity in his story telling. The second half has way too many songs and they severely affect the movie’s flow. Logic has gone for a toss big time and some of the scenes will leave you scratching your head.
The movie’s pace in the second half is very bad. Nasser is wasted in a silly role. Same is the case with Brahmanandam, Ahuti Prasad, Subba Raju and Raghubabu. With such an ensemble comedy cast, one expects a laugh riot but except for a few damp squibs, there is nothing worthwhile.
The climax is very badly executed and the whole sequence is needlessly prolonged. Some of the visuals have not been shot in Malaysia and it looks like a blue mat was used to create those scenes. Those scenes have come out very poorly and it is very easily understood that ‘special effects’ have been used.
The triangle love track has not been established well and there is no emotional depth to the proceedings. There is a lot of confusion in the plot and it looks like director Prakash actually forgot what he wanted to say.
Technical Aspects :
Cinematography is very good and Malaysia has been shot well. Rana’s dialogues have been written well and they are good. Editing is just about ok. Dances have been choreographed nicely and fight sequences have been conceived well.
VFX work is very shoddy and it should have been taken care of with more seriousness. Chakri’s background score and music is a big letdown. There are too many songs in the film and since they are so mediocre, it becomes a pain to sit through them.
Verdict :
Rana tried out a lot of commercial elements in this film. He experimented with dances and fights and he has put in a lot of effort. Sadly, it is all let down by a poor script and bad narration. Genelia does not have much to offer in the movie. Too many songs in the second half and a confused plot make the film tedious to watch. On the whole, ‘Naa Ishtam’ disappoints.

Racha Movie Review

Cast & Crew :- Ram Charan teja,Tamanna
Director :- Sampath nandi
Music :- Mani Sharma
Banner :- Mega Super Good Movies
Rating:2.5/5
Synopsis:
Racha is the story of Betting Raju (Charan) and Chaitra (Tamannah) who were son and daughter of two friends. Both of them had to separate due to the wicked ploy of Bellary (Mukesh Rushi). After some 15 years, both of them unite due to a strange incident. Raaj who is aimless till then makes Chaitra’s aim as his aim. What happens next forms the actual part of the story.
How they Performed?:
Ram Charan Tej is a power house of energy. He managed very good performance in the movie. Sameer Reddy photography helped to capture good shots of him.
Tamannah is superb on screen and has every thing to lure masses to theaters. Performance wise, she could not do much. Mukesh Rushi, Dev Girl, Kota Srinivas Rao, MS Narayana and others have did reasonably well. Brahmanandham as dance master Rangeela managed to draw few laughs.
Technicalities:
This is Sampath Nandi’s second movie as director. His first film budget was 3 crores and he managed to bag Racha of 40 crores budget. However, he completely lost track. The movie story is a routine one and the taking is no different.
Mani Sharma had lost his touch completely. Songs were average and back ground music is mediocre. The placement of songs is wrong. Cinematography by Sameer Reddy is good. Gautham Raju completely let down in editing.
Final Word: Racha is a routine mass masala story combined with bad treatment. The screen play not convincing and is outdated. You can give it a miss!
